Event Uprise Prayer Revolution
City & Location
Sault Ste Marie   White Pines Community Theatre

You may be asking yourself “What's 'Uprise: A Prayer Revolution'?”. The answer is simple; It's an event, a reason for the Church of the Sault to gather together as one, in the name of Jesus, to worship and pray. Prayer predominantly for our city. We truly believe that when God makes a promise, it is forever valid. We believe that when God said: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” II Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV We want to see the Church get on its knees in prayer asking for God’s healing, an outpouring of the Spirit and Revival in this city.

Event Corsair Concert Series presents THE BOXCARS
City & Location
Tawas City   Tawas United Methodist Church

Description
Former members of Alison Krauss & Union Station and The Dan Tyminski Band have formed this new bluegrass supergroup lead by six time IBMA Mandolin Player of the Year Adam Steffey. His recent project on Sugar Hill Records, "One More For The Road", has been acclaimed as one of the best bluegrass albums of 2009. We can expect The Boxcars to cover this material and branch out into their own unique style of contemporary bluegrass and gospel music laced with Steffey's signature rhythm that can be traced back to his days with Union Station. IBMA award-winning instrumentalist Ron Stewart will deliver rock solid banjo work, but will occasionally set down the banjo and pick up the fiddle on some tunes. It's always a rarity to have multiple strong vocalists in the same group, and The Boxcars will benefit from strong vocal performances from Keith Garrett, John Bowman and Steffey's signature baritone.
