What is your Job at NCR and when did you start?
I started working at NCR in July 1986 as chief engineer. Now my title is CEO. I still do some of the engineering work but my primary responsibility now is overseeing the operations of the ministry.

What is your favorite Bible verse? Reason you like it.
I don’t really have a favorite verse, but my favorite book is Proverbs. I am always amazed at the wisdom to be found there.

Tell us about your family.
My wife Dedra and I were married in March 1982. We have 3 children. Jonathan our oldest has started his career in Information Technology and lives in the Grand Rapids area. Matthew is at Grand Valley State University studying Banking and Finance. Vanessa our youngest is a senior in high school. She is 5’ 11” and plays on the Varsity basketball team and is a starter on the Varsity Volleyball team.

Where else have you lived and worked?
I was born in Gaylord, worked 4 years at a Christian radio station in central Pennsylvania right out of college and then came back to Gaylord to work here at NCR.

How did you get started in Christian Radio?
Originally I planned to be a missionary pilot. I started ground school and flight training at the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music. I finished the first year and earned a private pilot certificate, but due to the cost was unable to continue. I switched my major to Christian radio and well here I am.

Name your favorite artists?
I really like all kinds of music, from classical all the way up. My favorite artists include Mercy Me, Fernando Ortega and Phillips Craig and Dean. And from the other side of the fence Kenny G.

If you could do any thing else for a living what would you do?
Honestly, I can't imagine doing anything else!
